If you needed something to look forward to when waiting for Spring to arrive, look no further!
We transferred our 2017 Double Porter into bourbon barrels only 48 hours after they were emptied of the locally-made maple syrup that they held for the last 6 months. This maple syrup was harvested in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area by Brubaker Acres. We anticipate this beer to be ready in 3 to 4 months. The barrel aging will result in a rich, dark beer with strong notes of baking cocoa, bread crust, dark fruit, toffee, vanilla and of course, maple. This beer will be the perfect pairing to the 2018 maple syrup season! We expect to release only 200 bottles and will be serving the remainder on draft. All bottles and draft will be available only in the Bemidji Brewing taproom.
